The capital and largest city in Japan, Tokyo is a buzzing metropolis with a constant torrent of traffic and people running through it. Despite this the city also boasts many tranquil and beautiful gardens, temples and shrines. Spring sees the city at its best, with the Sakura (cherry blossom) turning the trees a brilliant pink as the locals celebrate the start of spring.
