The capital and largest city in Japan, Tokyo is a buzzing metropolis with a constant torrent of traffic and people pumping through its streets. Despite this the city also boasts many tranquil and beautiful gardens, temples and shrines. March / April sees the city at its best, with the Sakura (cherry blossom) turning the trees a brilliant pink as the locals celebrate the start of spring.
